Monique's Winning Butterfly Story: Hello. My name is Monique G. and I live in Houston,Texas. I discovered my inner butterfly when I was 18 years old. My mom had a heart attack. I was a freshman in college. My mind got off of my studies, which was Criminal Justice. My mom was lying in a hospital bed and I didn't know what to do or what was going to happen, I prayed so hard for her to live. She did and I now stay with her and my daughter. My mom has to go to the doctors to check on her heart, diabetes, high blood pressure, and shortness of breathe. She is the best mother in the world. The very moment I found out how down to earth Miss Patti is, was at her show here in Houston one Saturday night. After the show she was hugging fans and taking pictures with people who stayed back to see her as close up as possible. I got a great picture of her when she was in her limo. She looked at me and waved. This was the prefect picture. On her tv show, you see how down to earth she is but it is another thing to see or meet her. I fell in love with Miss Patti's music when I was eight years old. I know I didn't understand or know what she was talking about, I knew what I liked and that was the voice of an angel straight from Heaven. I remember the first time I saw Miss Patti. I was 15 yrs old in the 10th grade. I left school early to go and see her at JC Penny's department store downtown on Main St. I believe I was the youngest one there. That was so great. I still have the picture she signed. I'm not going to say I'm the youngest fan she has because I'm not. I think my daughter is. My baby, Heaven, is three years old and she can spot something and everything to do with Miss. Patti faster than I can.
