Julia's Winning Butterfly Story: I have always been a huge fan of Patti's. I grew up listening to her music and watching her play Adele Wayne on A Different World. She could always make me laugh and she still does. She never fails to bring a smile to my face. I was lucky enough to see her perform live this year at the River Rock Casino. Never in a million years did I ever think that I would be so blessed to be able to see such an amazing and inspiring woman up close. I was so overwhelmed with excitment and joy I could barely contain myself. I cried like a big baby the whole entire time, except for when I was screaming =) Hearing Patti talk about her life and what she has gone through was just so honest, heartfelt and so touching. I came to realize why I love this magnificient woman in the first place. Patti has done so many things for so many people, especially her fans. When I speak about how I feel about her, I know I speak for every single Patti LaBelle fan out there. Patti has touched so many hearts with her music and has healed many souls. Her voice is so powerful and soulful. When I listen to her, it fills me with immense happiness. I know that I can leave the trials, tribulations and the stress of everyday life behind when I turn on her music. I can escape into my own little world and not have to worry about a thing. I know for the amount of time that I hear her angelic voice ringing in my ears everything will be okay, because Patti is by my side. I believe that Patti is the most talented artist out there. She is the best vocalist of all time and no one could ever replace her. What I really enjoy about Patti is that she is real and honest. What you see is what you get. She has nothing to hide and she has no problem with sharing that. It makes her fans feel like they know her, on a personal level. I wish nothing but the best for Patti and I thank her with all of my heart and soul for sharing her talent with me and the world. I can't wait until the day I can follow in her footsteps. We are so lucky to have such an amazing, talented, inspiring and beautiful woman to look up to. There will always be a place for Patti and her music in my heart. I love you Patti!
