Along with being an amazing musician, Patti also has a passion for great food. Facing diabetes, Patti found a way to still enjoy her favorites and shared her secrets with us all in Patti LaBelle's Lite Cuisine. Patti challenged her beloved Butterflies to come up with a Butterfly-worthy, mouth-watering dish that can be enjoyed by all, diabetics included. The Grand Prize Winner will be receiving an autographed cookbook from Patti. Here is the winner.
Felicia Daniels provided a delicious recipe for green salad with chicken breast which is as follows:
Mix green salad (romaine and iceberg)
2 tomatoes
2 cucumbers
2 green onions ( cut up)
1/2 cup of raisins
3/4 cup of bacon bits
3/4 sunflower seeds (shelled)
3/4 cup walnuts
1/2 cup groutons
4 boneless chicken breast
1/2 cup lawery teriyaki marinade
Marinade chicken breast in sauce for 1 hour
After the hour grill chicken
Mix the salad ingredients in bowl then top salad with chicken breast and serve
Dash a little vingarette dressing on top.
