Keasha's Winning Butterfly Story:
Patti, I would say I love you so much,because you remind me so much of my own mother. She was beautiful, classy, God fearing, and a social butteterfly that loved to cook much like yourself. Growing up our house was always filled with people visiting. She would invite people over to come and eat, and just enjoy each others company. She showed me how to love and how to be a woman. Being that my dad was in the military, she basically raised me along with my older brother and sister.
There has never been a time in my mind where she didn't come through for someone. I lost my mother on October 5, 2003. I was 23 years old at the time and basically I died with her. Hate had grown so bad in my heart that I acted recklessly for a period of time because I was thinking God betrayed me. Why would God take the one person in my life I knew loved me?
I am now 27 and I know now that she first belonged to Him, and He needed her more than I did. Patti, she was my best friend, and she always will be. The reason why you are so special to my life is that people always said you two looked just alike. She was beautiful, inside and out, just like you. Every time I see your face, I think about my mom and I love you for that. I think along with my mom, you helped me cope with life, and let me know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I want to say thank you.
